Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. – one South Florida’s most delicious Mexican restaurants ever – doesn’t mess around when it comes to their fond appreciation of the eye-watering, mouth-numbing deliciousness.
Besides the 15 different selections on their hot sauce bar, TF has five that are the VIP of hot sauces – and are only available upon request.
TF South Florida Area Director Gerard Salerno – who is in charge of the eight South Florida locations – says that a signed product disclaimer is required to try any of the selections. You must be at least 18 years of age… and sober. Check out the product disclaimer to the right.
Here’s a little fun fact for you: hot sauce is measured in Scoville units. Tabasco sauce is rated at 2,140 Scoville units. TF’s hottest sauce, Smack My Ass & Call Me Sally…Chet’s Gone Mad, is rated at 1.5 million Scoville units. That’s 700 times hotter than Tabasco sauce, according to the TF website.
And it looks like it’s the company mini-secret. No signs, no promotions, and no ads. Just your word of mouth… and this blog post…
Another fun fact: check out the Guinness World Record winner for hottest pepper!
